Fall has always been my favorite season. There’s something about October that carries both comfort and mystery — the crisp air, the smell of leaves on the ground, and the flicker of candlelight inside jack-o’-lanterns. From haunted houses to bobbing for apples, from childhood trick-or-treating to late-night Halloween parties, these are the traditions that turn into life-long memories.

When I set out to make a Halloween playlist this year, I knew I didn’t want the usual songs — no Monster Mash, no Thriller. Those songs are classics, but they’ve been done to death (sorry, not sorry for the pun). Instead, I wanted to create something different: a soundtrack for a generation that craves uniqueness. That’s what Shadow Season is — two hours of haunting, genre-spanning tracks that capture the darker side of fall without falling into cliché.
