Hello!

I'm Scott. I'm a Co-Founder of Press Play. As you already know from my previous stories, I'm a Spanish teacher by trade. But music has always been my passion. I enjoy playing drums and guitar, and have been a member of a few bands growing up. Music is an integral part of my life. It defines the most important memories I have.

I'll never forget my first concert. MC Hammer, Boys 2 Men and Jodeci (go ahead, laugh…) As much as I look back on that and cringe a little, I can still remember the seat I was in (row YY at the Hartford Civic Center) and the woman that was sitting next to me with finger nails that were, no lie, at least 8 inches long! When I look back on all the moments that are meaningful to me, I realize that they all have something in common. Each one has a song connected to it.

The day I brought my daughter home from the hospital for the first time, Flogging Molly was playing in the car (it was St. Patrick’s Day). The first time I got to watch my son’s band perform live is now connected to Metallica (For Whom the Bell Tolls). Being quarantined will forever be linked to endless nights of karaoke with the family and for some reason Beabadoobee’s remix of Death Bed (you know, that cup of coffee song?).
